The Six Book Challenge 2010
The annual Six Book Challenge invites adults to read six books and record their reading in a diary in order to receive a certificate and incentives along the way. Nearly 9000 adults across the UK took part in 2009 through libraries, colleges, adult and community education, prisons and workplaces.
Dumfries and Galloway Council's Adult Literacy tutors can tell you all about the scheme and get you started. If you need help, they can also come with you when you join the library. Dalbeattie Library has a collection of over 30 Quick Read titles with 10 more on the way. Staff will sign your diary for you as you progress through the Challenge.
The Library doesn't have stocks of the diary - you will get that from your tutor when you start the Challenge.
